RICHMOND, Va. – The Virginia National Guard Association announced the 2022 Legislative Reception will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Jan. 20, 2022 at the Library of Virginia.
Food and refreshments are catered by Mission BBQ.
The reception, held every January, is on of the association’s premier events intended to offer members of the association and senior leaders of the Virginia National Guard the opportunity to connect with elected officials, legislators and staff.
“Advocacy and legislative affairs are key components in our efforts to secure the most effective benefits and resources that support our warfighters,” said Andrew J. Czaplicki, VNGA president. “This reception offers direct access to our legislators, their staff and members of the administration in a casual environment where our members can ask share their stories and experience, as well as learn more about the issues and opportunities facing the commonwealth.”
The reception will follow an organized Professional Development Session sponsored by the Office of the Adjutant General, which begins at 4:30 p.m. at the same location, the Library of Virginia.
All members of the General Assembly, the incoming gubernatorial administration, the U.S. congressional delegation and of the VNGA are encouraged to attend.
