EANGUS We Care for America Foundation Receives $750,000 From USAA To Assist National Guard Members and their Families Impacted by COVID-19 Pandemic

WASHINGTON D.C. Today as part of a historic commitment by USAA’s Military Family Relief Initiative, the Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States, We Care for America Foundation will receive $750,000 to assist military members and families during these challenging economic times. The donation will allow the organization to further its emergency financial assistance program that assists National Guard members and their families meet basic needs.

“Since 1972, EANGUS has been the voice for the enlisted men and women of the National Guard, and for over a decade EANGUS has partnered with USAA to take care of our Guard members and their families” said EANGUS President CSM (Ret) Karen Craig. “We are thankful to USAA for our continued partnership and their investment in the We Care for America Foundation to provide emergency financial assistance to Guard members in need due to the COVID-19 pandemic.”

“For nearly a century, USAA’s mission has been to help our members be financially secure and to support them no matter what they face,” USAA President and CEO Wayne Peacock said. “Providing this gift to organizations such as the EANGUS We Care for America Foundation that share our mission to care for military families does double duty. It helps meet the fast-emerging needs that today’s military families and veterans are facing. And it gives these organizations momentum to keep serving as a lifeline for the military community.”

The Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States (EANGUS) was formally organized in 1972 with the goal of increasing the voice of enlisted persons in the National Guard.
